As a student of Von Asgard K-9 Center, you will receive an exceptional education in dog training & kennel management. As a graduate you will be in high demand with prospective employers.
Through lectures, demonstrations, and supervised training, you will learn a variety of dog training theories/techniques and how to apply them effectively. Our programs challenge you to develop unique training methods with proven problem solving techniques. You will gain experience working with a wide range of dog personalities and temperaments.
Students do not graduate simply because they attend the school. The students and their dogs must pass all requirements and demonstrate their ability to train in order to graduate.
School Programs Available:
Professional Kennel Management Program – 8 wks. $6,500
This certification program will challenge and require the student to apply himself to the upmost. Extensive education will be provided in the areas of Kennel Management, Animal Care, Medical Care, Sanitation, Supervision Skills, Public Relations & Marketing.
Kennel Management (“K-9 Dude Ranch” Certification)
Professional Dog Trainer Program – 12 wks. $8,500
This program is very challenging and requires a strong work ethic, self discipline, and organization. You will receive extensive education and hands on training, including decoy training, which will prepare you for a long term rewarding career in dog training.
The Professional Dog Trainer Program provides Training & Certification in the following areas, as well as, classes in Public Relations, Sales & Management:
Puppy (“K-9 Kindergarten” Certification)
Obedience (“K-9 Boot Camp” Certification)
Problem Dogs (“K-9 Behavior Ranch” Certification”)
Custom Training (“K-9 Spec Ops” Certification) – Includes Police K-9, Detection, Tracking, Schutzhund, Personal Protection & Canine First Aid.
Professional Decoy Program – 12 wks. $4,500
This program is designed for trainers with a solid foundation as a canine trainer looking to advance their knowledge and expertise as a decoy. In the Professional Decoy Program we will continue to build on what you've learned in the Professional dog Trainer Program and give you advanced real-world decoy training. Graduates of this program are in extreme high demand across the country and have gone on to become very successful entrepreneurs and employees.
This program is highly selective and acceptance depends on performance and attitude in the Professional Dog Trainer Program and recommendation from our Staff.
This program includes: Canine Protection Theory, Canine Development & Problem Solving, Extensive Sleeve Work, Advanced Full Body Bitesuit & Hidden Sleeve Decoy Training, Police Tactical Training, and much more.
Professional Detection Dog Trainer Program – 12 wks. $3,500
The Professional Detection Dog Trainer Program is for the student who has proven his/her ability in the Professional Dog Trainer Program, or equivalent. The program places a strong emphasis on the development and execution of an effective detection training methods and programs. We require the Professional Detection Dog Trainer Student to actually detection certify a dog he has started.
This program includes: Detection Theory, Narcotics/Explosive/Custom Detection Training, Advanced Specific Odor Detection, and Advanced Police K-9 Detection.
This program is highly selective and acceptance depends on performance and attitude in the Professional Dog Trainer Program, or the equivalent and a recommendation from our Staff.
